These are the plain-English rules for using skunkworks.school and the tools on it. By using them, you agree to these terms. For a child, a parent or guardian agrees on their behalf.

What Skunkworks School is

A small collection of web tools for kids and families, starting with the Daily Chart. The tools are made to be used by children together with a grown-up who knows they're using them.

Typing & technology, also from Skunkworks, lives on its own website and has its own terms.

Who can use it

• Anyone can use the tools. Children should have a parent's or guardian's permission.
• Signing in, and sharing a family with another grown-up, are for adults only.

Your account and your chart

• You don't need an account to start. An anonymous chart belongs to the browser it was made in. If that browser's data is cleared before you sign in, the chart can't be recovered.
• If you sign in with Google, keep that Google account secure. Anyone who can use it can see your family's chart.
• You're in charge of who you invite to share your family, and you can remove them at any time.
• We may remove data we reasonably believe was created by abuse, such as automated sign-ups.

Please don't

• try to disrupt, overload or break the service;
• use bots or scripts to create accounts or use the tools;
• try to get into anyone else's family or into our systems;
• copy or republish the tools or their content at scale.

What's ours, and what's yours

The tools, their design, artwork and code belong to Skunkworks School or are used with permission. You're welcome to use them for your family's own, non-commercial use.

What you put in your chart (your children's names, chores and notes) is yours. We use it only to run the chart for you, as our Privacy page explains. That page is part of these terms.

Free, and as it is

The tools here are free. We work hard to keep them safe and reliable, but we provide them "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service. If we ever plan to stop the Daily Chart, we'll give you notice and a way to save your information first.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, Skunkworks School and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages from using the service. For any claim about the service, our total liability is limited to fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

Ending things

You can stop using the tools at any time, and ask us to delete your information (see Privacy). We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms or abuses the service.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [state], where Skunkworks School's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
